As we come to the end of 2019, our socials become inundated with talk of the New Year, resolution, usually changes to ourselves. But, as it is the beginning of a new decade, I feel 2020 especially, is being spotlighted as ‘The Year’ The year that you can change all of that, and start afresh. The whole ‘as that clock strikes midnight, you can wipe the slate clean etc’ I normally don’t buy into that all, but I do feel that the end of a decade is the perfect time for reflection. To look at the lessons learnt, and appreciate what you’ve achieved. For me, this past decade has been a rollercoaster. I moved a lot, had some amazing experiences, met people whom are now only referred to as family, fell in love and out of love, had a career change and of course had my son, Ollie, though in all of that, there was also some pretty low times. And of course they sucked, but you grow from all those experiences. They make you who you are. So although I won’t be thinking about how I want to go to the gym, forget about the past year or how to ‘Marie Kondo’ my life come midnight tonight, I will be thinking what I’ve come out of this decade with, and how I’m going to better that for the next one. How I can be a little more kickass and be truer to myself. And with that, I ask my Unicorns todo the same. Go into 2020 heads held high, battle scars on show, ready to make this next decade even more spectacular than the last.
See you on the flip side. x.x
