On Thursday the 12th of April, my waters broke, a moment I had been waiting tirelessly for. After a very long, complicated and very stressful pregnancy I was ready to have our little Oliver, so waking at 5am, and thinking “this was it” was a truly amazing feeling. After heading into hospital and being told I was already half way dilated, I was thrilled to say the least! The following hours sped by and through the help of the amazing midwives at Calvary Hospital, I gave birth at 12:42am, Friday the 13th of April! An amazing experience, one that all though is at points blurry, I will hold on to for dear life. Since then I’ve realised, becoming a mummy is the most amazing, difficult and stressful job, one can ever undertake. The intense desire to create the perfect world for your child, to protect from any and everything as well as the incredible feeling of “damn straight, look at what I made” proudness is just extraordinary. Our Ollie forever changed my world, he has given me purpose I didn’t realise I was lacking, he gave me strength I didn’t know I had and has given me love, I couldn’t have known existed.

Lots of love unicorns, from one very smitten mummy
