Most people would normally say yes. The general population likes to think they are good doing citizens, that they are equal to their fellow neighbours and posses the same "rights" as one another. Except however, if you even slightly differ from their view of what's "normal", then it's perfectly acceptable to place some apparent hierarchy. (What the?!) Which also, funnily enough, just so happens to fit wonderfully with where I so desperately want people to realise their stupidity and ignorance. So buckle up kiddies, it's time for a lesson. You are no better for believing in Jesus Christ than you are Buddha. You are no better for discriminating against another person, regardless of gender, ethnicity or religious views. You are no better for pigeonholing a person whom is of higher OR lower socioeconomic status than you, and you certainly, are no better, to discriminate someone passed on sexual preference. Yes, you may not agree with certain views, certain choices, a certain lifestyle. But do you know what? That's not your bloody life and it does not coincide with yours!
I don't like racism, and yet I see it daily, and unfortunately have to allow the bigots their delusional arguments. I don't like gender discrimination, however have been told more than my share of women shaming jokes that I am meant to laugh off and accept as "just a joke" Because slut shaming is funny right? I don't like religion in the slightest, in any sense, and constantly have to see people claiming that "their God" doesn't tolerate another race, sex or other such difference so therefore it's wrong. But heck, I put up with this, millions of people put up with this. Millions put up with racial slurs yelled at them daily, they put up with physical violence - complete brutality, they put up with constant hate! But do you know how you can actually be the person you so wish the world would see you as. Accept differences, accept equality in EVERY sense of the word and do what's right. It may not be your thing, but it's someone else's and they deserve better. Ellie out.
